Just passed close by and populated as BC-A rather than a C17 was AE2FA9 / 08-8197 / US Air Force.  Is is the dreaded bug?

Yes unfortunately, go into d/b explorer and change it.

The RV is in the d/b so should populate.

Thought so on the C17 and updated by the Explorer.  The RV6 only showed the registration and mode S so went in later to update the other fields but did not appear, even tried a search on all the fields, strange!!!! However, I have now manually inputted the details.

With all the problems with the new DB I did not want to lose any of my hard work so I did not download the new DB but I did have autopopulate switched on and surley that should of placed it in my DB.  Not a big drama as this seems to be an isolated case but it did populate in amongst other USA aircraft in the network list but missing ac type hence trying to fill in the gaps in explorer and finding it missing.

If the aircraft type only was missing this will be the dreaded bug in action which at this time is only resolved by manual entry.

This should be fully resolved in the next software version, hopefully!!

A78D0B N586JS is in the d/b as an E50P c/n 50000183

There is no entry for A78D08 N586JP as it has not been assigned by FAA
