AirNav Development

We are pleased to note most users are happy to with the first beta release of AirNav RadarBox 5 software. The application is still in beta mode which means we are intensively getting user feedback, testing and implementing corrections to all reported problems.

For this reason we are releasing V5.00.47 of the software which addresses three important issues that have been reported:
1. No network connection
2. Incorrect flight ID's displayed
3. Extended flight sessions, user configurable on Preferences/General tab, default 15 minutes (Still being tested)

Upgrade (need to have 5.00.44  installed):

A full install version will follow tomorrow

The 1 setup file is the one to use to upgrade from v5.00.044 to this new version (v5.00.047).

CYYZGUY

It's great to see RadarBox patches being implemented.

Let's hope that bug fixes will be applied faster in future than in the past!

Downloaded the new version 5.00.47. Lost the 3d view feature using google earth.

Dana

Downloaded the new version 5.00.47,problem persists here with time out flights also with signal. Airplanes appear and disappear and flight list varies from 1 airplane to 80 in just a few sec. The time out settings does not correspond to reality....
And,if I may make a suggestion : will be very useful to be able to arrange MyFlight list according to altitude of airplanes . In this way will be more easy to identify new airplanes  entered in the list. Now we have to search between dozens of airplanes which one just took off.....

Dana, you can sort by any column in MyFlights - just click on the column heading "Altitude" and the heading will turn bold.  What timeout settings and Screen Refresh Rate do you have setup in Preferences?  If you turn the Network off, is it any better?

tarbat

vaca05, have you paid for 3D, did you have 3D in v4?

Rod, we're testing as fast as we can - long late nights given over to testing freely!

tarbat

cosmefulanito, do you have a network subscription - check MENU - TOOLS - NETWORK ACCOUNT INFORMATION.  If so, check you have "Get Flights From Radarbox Network" ticked at the bottom of the Network tab.

Dana

Thank you Tarbat, altitude in MyFlights list are solved now. Still the problem with the signal. Airplanes are not stable on the map and list also they appear and disappear ...Seconds to mark a flight as timeout are set to 10 and seconds to hide timeout flights are set to 5. but in reality  they hide faster and appear as timeout also in less than then 10 sec. Also before upgrade i had a range of aprox .200nm all around. Now i can't see airplanes further than 140 nm.

tarbat

Dana, I don't believe anything has been changed in v5 that should affect your reception range.  Suggest you check antenna connections, etc.

AirNav Support

If you have lost 3D contact us please with your RB login id and we will reset your ID.

cosmefulanito,

Can you confirm your RB login id to us please so we can check your network details.

Dana,

There have been no firmware changes so there should be no change of your range, as per most upgrades you should be able to get a better view of your range after a week as weather and traffic patterns can change and affect your range.
