Hello,

New birds on my RB.

Found some inconsistency in Thai Airways naming.  As per wiki

"Thai Airways (a trading name of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited)"

So the AC field in aircraft table should be Thai Airways.  Looks like the 2 most recent aircrafts already reflect this but old aircrafts still use Thai Airways International.

Kenny

Hi Kenny,

88420B HS-PPK Airbus A320-232 c/n 2600 Bangkok Airway
4BCC52 TC-SBR Boeing 737-86N c/n 32693/1951 SunExpress/AnadoluJet on delivery SIN-DEL-AYT per Skyliner
4BCCA5 TC-SEE Boeing 737-86N c/n 23263/1139 SunExpress/AnadoluJet on delivery CGK-DEL-AYT per Skyliner

Regarding Thai,  The Wiki article you mention also details : On 1 April 1988, then-Prime Minister Gen. Prem Tinsulanonda, in seeking to have a single national carrier, merged the international and domestic operations of the two companies to form the present company, Thai Airways International.

The company profile on their website details : Thai Airways International Public Co,.ltd is a national enterprise subordinated to the Ministry of Transport. It is a public company registered in The Securities Exchange of Thailand since 1991 with the Ministry of Finance as a dominance shareholder at more then 50%.  We therefore standardised on Thai Airways International as the airline name.

Thai Airways or even Thai as that it what is on the aircraft, could also be considered appropriate and the 2 non standard names were a mistaken entry by myself which I have now standardised to the same as the other fleet members removing the inconsistency you mention.

Hi Niklas,

Oh dear, as a former firefighter who was dealt with a good number of such fires I hope it is dealt with safely and without loss of life and property.

Unfortunately I am not able to identify the frame other than it is a CL2T which has been around for 4 years or so.  Hopefully someone in Sweden will get the opportunity to identify it.

Thanks again

Unfortunally life and property has been lost. :( Fire is still not under control but Italian and French aircraft are on their way to help as almost none of our military helicopters are available for fire fighting anymore. Hopefully these aircraft can get the fire under control and to end it.

It will just be a matter of time before photos emerge of these aircraft, I don't believe we ever had any of these types visiting Sweden before.

I'll get back as soon as I know more.

Hi Niklas,

Sad new indeed.  Hopefully once the flames have been doused the authorities will look at the lessons to be learned from dealing with is type of incident.

Many thanks for the confirmation and the link works OK.
