Thanks  for that Ian.  For your information I just found that INEAR was acquired by the Babcock International Group in 2013 and was renamed Babcock Mission Critical Services Spain in January 2017 so look out for renaming soon.  The same goes for the other operations in Italy and elsewhere, they have been renamed as well

Morning Alan,

With regard to Babcock Mission Critical Services, my own personal d/b has the following helicopters registered under that name :

G-POLS EC135 c/n 1220
EC-MOR MBK BK117 c/n 20076
EC-MOS MBK BK117 c/n 20095
EC-MOT MBK BK117 c/n 20126
G-VINT Sikorsky S-92 c/n 920258
G-VINR Sikorsky S-92 c/n 920269
G-MCSA Sikorsky S-92 c/n 920273
G-MCSB Sikorsky S-92 c/n 920281

I wondered where that name suddenly appeared from. Everything else is still operating under INAER (according to my own d/b). I haven't be out to Muchamiel to see if the name has changed at their HQ.

There is a lot more than that Ian, see below regarding INEAR

In 2003 Helicsa Helicopters and Helicopters of the Southeast are integrated and Inaer is created.  In 2004, the company began its international expansion with the addition of Helisul in Portugal and in 2005 in Italy with Elidolomiti.  In the same year, EASA certified Inaer as one of the first design offices in Europe .   In 2006, following the acquisition of Cegisa, Inaer started fixed-wing fire operations.  In 2007, it continued its international expansion and began operations in Chile through a subsidiary specialized in aerial work and fire fighting.   In 2008 it was consolidated internationally with the incorporation of Eliario in Italy , Proteus in France and Aeromaritime in the United Kingdom .    With the purchase of Helitalia in 2009,  it also consolidates as a leading company in the Italian market for emergency medical services with helicopters.  Subsequently, Inaer acquired Australian Helicopters in 2010 and Bond Aviation Group in 2011.   In 2013 operations begin with Bond Helicopters Australia and in 2014 the acquisition of Scandinavian Air Ambulances (SAA).  In this same year, the total set of companies were acquired by the Babcock International Group.

In January 2017 and as part of the acquisition process of the company by the Babcock international group, it was renamed Babcock Mission Critical Services Spain, with its headquarters in Mutxamel

I have not changed the titles of any of the former INEAR group yet and we shall see if they have made any inroads into the renaming process when we visit after I come over next month.

Cheers Alan.

We'll just have to blag our way into their HQ at Muchamiel and find out what is going on !
