It is a plug in and available mid December and costs a one off fee of £89.95 according to a W & S advert in "Airliner" magazine out today.

It features on the W & S webpage, and I've double checked the price as £89.95 together with a corresponding conversion into Euros. Advance telephone orders only being taken at present!

At £89.95, it's of no interest to me either - my pension doesn't stetch that far.  I'm saving my money up for ShipTrax!!.

But I guess there'll be plenty of users willing to pay for this premium 3D upgrade.

I'd certainly consider it, but I'd want to see more than just a few static images before shelling out my dosh.

The blurb implies that selecting any aircraft that I'm picking up (ADS-B only, presumably) will produce a 3D picture of the aircraft concerned - it will be interesting to see how quickly the library of airline liveries grows to keep pace with all the types and operators out there.

Yes, I think that's a good idea - especially given the initial cost of buying a Radarbox.
I'd certainly be tempted but, in the current economic climate, I'd want to be 100% certain whether my existing laptop was man enough for the job before making that extra investment! Also a chance to see whether it was viable for those of us not on unlimited data ISP plans...

Well it's been on the Waters & Stanton web site unchanged for some weeks now, it seems pretty solid on that basis.
