RadarBox 3D testing progressing well

As with Live Network, 3D would have been great as part of the orginal package when I purchased my RB. No doubt some time in the future RB buyers will get these goodies included.

As things stand I view both as somewhat peripheral, even ornamental in the case of 3D, and in view of the additional costs, they're probably beyond my budget.

Yes, I agree. Way too expensive. They call this a small upgrade fee ?

Not sure what you mean there but I did get a screenshot of a Qantas flight from Canberra to Sydney earlier today that apparently asked/was told to go around very shortly before landing on its first approach to Sydney.



And I have a "pilots view" animation of its second and successful flight over Sydney Harbour and approach to Sydney airport if you want to see the scenery and pretend you are piloting the aircraft  :)

Seems that airnav are embarrassed at the 'small fee' I personally thought that they would not charge much less than £100 for the google plugin. The lack of response is telling....

We can confirm that is price.

There has been a considerable development time placed in this. The new development team has been working on this and creating the models etc.. is not easy either. This is also a full time commitment to update the models and other features.

Its not as simple as a google plugin addin and away you go. One of the rules of this forum is that we will not discuss pricing methods etc.

It will be interesting to hear how well it sells.

Airnav say they have spent a long time bringing it to the market.   What they should remember, if they over price it (which they have) it's money wasted if nobody buys it.

I am very worried.  I don't want Airnav to go bust.  If they did we would end up with a £500 paper weight. 


Going back to reliability problems with the server going down again.  Are Airnav owners taking too much out of the company wages wise, so that not enough money is being re-invested in keeping Airnav afloat, improving R&D and customer support.

Let hope we (customers) and Airnav have a long future together

Not at all Michael - we'd end up where most of us started with a very good live aircraft tracking system.

That's what I originally bought and everything that has come along subsequently via the forum should be seen as something of a bonus. If you didn't subscribe to the forum, you'd know nothing about the latest developments - I'm sure there are some out there living in ignorance - but you'd still be enjoying your RadarBox.

God forbid Airnav goes out of business but that wouldn't make RB a paperweight.
