A flight crew from Johnson Space Center in Houston arrived at Mildenhall on Oct. 8 to begin a monthlong operation, which involves sending a two-man team in a WB-57 aircraft to an altitude of 50,000 feet to capture the microscopic particles.

Shame Concorde's not aloft anymore, could've done the job 4x faster!  :-)

Had a couple of Bulgarian Air Force Aircraft on the screen today:-
First showed as an SU-25K  Mode S 342197
Second showed as a Mig-29  Mode S 3F4C31

Has anyone else seen these - Wrong country showed on the MyList report - Spain?

Sorry for the delay in replying. My PC failed to start after an overnight Vista update. My Ghost backup CD wouldn't boot and I had to rebuild everything by hand.  :-(

I understand that NASA926NA is due to return to her base on Saturday but one can never be sure with that bird. Thanks for your kind comments on the photos.

I looked up the "Mig-29" 3F4C31 on airframes.org - turns out to be a German Air Force Canadair Challenger!

I suggest you look up the other one there as well.

The NASA WB57 ACD5A1 N926A is up again squawking 6407 at FL470 - just  changed squawk to 5013.

Just picked up a RAF VC10 squawking 1321, callsign 8GG60, code comes back as NATO air policing(air defence priority flights) any ideas what that lot means?
