Looking at the Haj charter flight numbers it appears they are all doing the flyDubai thing of using a different f/n for every flight even to the same destination, as the Air India, Biman and Nasair are all going thru a series. eg Air India AIC5100 thru 5150 to date for VIDP-OEJN rtn flights, Biman BBC6000 to 6036 for VGHS-OEJN rtn and KNE8500 to 8568 for V???-OMRK-OEJN rtn ...I wonder whether it could actually be a requirement from Saudi Aviation Authorities to avoid confusion and havoc at the two Haj terminals in Jeddah, it would explain a lot.

I have been informed that it is Saudi regulation that Haj charter flights numbers are required to be different so explains the number of f/n's required by the various airlines operating them on the same route
