In according with your instructions I checked NavData.db3 files in my PC, excluding the main one, backups are in my external HDD and all of them have old acess dates, so no update was made there for sure.

In Program Files, AirNav Systems folder is shared with AirNav ACARS but without any conflict.

Populate procedure was tested and is woking fine.

Conclusion: My Database Explorer updates data by autopopulate in "My Log" and in "Syn Option" however I can't import last one because it overwrite all files with an old version from 26-10-2015. That's the problem, why my update don't pick up last version available from server?

We advise not have Radarbox in program files as the windows virtual store causes problems when installed to that location.  We always advise to install to C:\Airnav or somewhere else similar in the root directory.

The 2015 Navdata you mention will be the one that you installed with V6.00.  The fact that it is this version shows that the Navdata update is going somewhere else on your computer and you will need to find where it goes when downloaded and drag it into the correct place.  I presume that when you installed V6.00 that you didn not delete the previous version first before installing V6 and it will be going to the data folder of that version presumably in program files somewhere.

Todays update has 250,715 records in the aircraft table and the NavData.db3 file with todays date is 92,630kb in size as per attached shot.  I have checked some of the aircraft records I entered onto the server yesterday and can confirm that the are included in the update

Some additional information about Windows and the virtual memory:

For security reasons Windows doesn't allow alteration of files by third party software inside the program files folder structure. Therefore the files are copied to a virtual memory part of program files folder structure. Unfortunately this strategy has to be supported by the third party software. If the software -like ANRB.exe-  isn't able to cope with this strategy plenty of problems may occur during operation.

You may find the particular files of ANRB.exe here: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\....

ANRB loads from Installation path, but updated version of file is in the folder named in the previous line. By default the folder AppData is hidden.

That's why we always advise never to install ANRB in program files section.

In some cases a manual registry cleaning using regedit is necessary to fix the problems caused by a previous install to program files folder.

After checked everything in my PC with ANRB software the conclusion is:

The ANRB problem is when you turn it ON and Database Explorer missed all updates made from last operation (?), it's like starting from zero all days...!!!

Sincerely I cannot understand this, I work with this software since 2008 and I never dealed with a situation like this (?)...!!!

Please advise.

Hello Carlos,

the reason for this was explained by me in Reply #10927, just after Alan's post regarding this side-topic.

From my work-life I know at least one further app, that, if installed in program files location, has the same problems as ANRB.exe. The software is called ruby(script).

Two options:

1. Uninstall and remove all traces of Radarbox Software from your PC. After that re-install outside program files folder structure e.g. C:\AirNav Systems\RadarBox

2. Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\... (somewhere there you shall find ...\AirNav Systems\RadarBox or ...\RadarBox\ maybe it's ...\RadarBox\Data) and copy the *.db files to the \Data folder under the program files installation path of RadarBox software. You will need administrator rights to do that. You will have to do this every time before you start the software.

As far as I know there is no plan C.

Thanks for the route information.

Regarding the updates. The is not new and has been detailed ever since the updates became available a number of years ago.  We always advise for a number of reasons not only because of the updates to install the software to somewhere in the root directory like c:\Airnav.

I would Advise like Ingo to delete and re-install but would do it differently and will not take much time to do  First of all save any folders you want to keep like MyLog, photos, silhouettes, logos etc.

Uninstall each previous version installed on your computer and there will possibly be more than one.  Once you have done that you will require to manually delete orphan files left behind in program files as an Airnav file folder will remain there after you uninstall.  If you don't delete it your problem will remain.

Re-install the software to c:\Airnav.  Replace the files previously saved and then start up and you should have no further issues with the downloads going to the wrong place.

Follow the advice and you will have no problems.  Fail to do so and I cannot assist further with this.
